ROLUCH stems from 35+ years in the paper industry, focused on efficiency, innovation, and sustainability. Our founder, Dr. Ing. José Félix Rocha, has dedicated his career to improving paper and board production while tackling high water use and polluting discharges.

Our mission: transform factories through engineering and technology consulting to minimize resource use and boost competitiveness. We operate between Mollerussa (Lleida) and Barcelona, working wherever plants need efficient, responsible solutions.

Founder

Meet José Félix Rocha

Chemical Engineer with 35+ years leading engineering and machinery optimization projects in Spain, Brazil, Europe, and Mexico. First-hand experience with water scarcity and regulatory pressure led to solutions like ReComFlex™ to cut water use, costs, and environmental footprint.

Key achievements

  • Chemical Engineer (UEM Maringá, Brazil) and Master in Paper & Graphics (UPC Terrassa).
  • PhD with honors in Chemical Engineering (UCM, 2004) with a patent on viscometers for fibrous suspensions.
  • Led construction of large paper machines (650–1200 t/d) at Grupo Gondi (Mexico).
  • Inventor of the carrierboard used in the Corona beer six-pack.
  • Cut water consumption from 12 L/kg down to 2.5–6 L/kg in multiple mills.
